Role overview
The Tech. Support Technician & Product Test Assistant performs UN testing on rigid packaging according to applicable regulations, as well as any other tests requested for technical assistance, failure root cause analysis, product development and innovation. Reports on tests results and provides feedback of the findings.
Major Responsibilities
Supports a globally aligned testing model for UN Certification Testing and test programs.
Responsible for performing UN testing program for rigid products, primarily plastic drums, IBC’s and jerrycans.
Reports results and provides firsthand experience on defects encountered to support root cause analysis.
Performs tests as needed to support investigating customer complaints, product improvement initiatives or other requests as needed.
Conducts business in accordance with The Greif Way and treats all colleagues and customers with dignity and respect.
Incorporates and maintains safety observances, including but not limited to: use of all PPE by employees, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits. Establishes a culture of proactivity for HS&E awareness within the team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Typically possesses Technical School Certificate/Diploma. Possesses a forklift driving certification.
Experience in one or more of the following: quality, test engineering, technical service. Blow molding and manufacturing experience preferred.

Fluent in Italian, and proficient in English in both verbal and written communication
