Confidential is seeking a Senior Engineering Leader to define scalable platform architecture and guide a distributed team of engineers. You will drive best practices, mentor staff, and collaborate with Product and DevOps to deliver robust features.

You will act as the technical reference, shaping long-term architectural capability, reducing debt, and evolving the engineering organization in a fast-growing environment.

Competenze

• 7+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Strong command of SOLID, design patterns, DDD, Hexagonal Architecture, and CQRS.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, and distributed systems at scale.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers, leading code reviews, and defining standards.
• Experience with infrastructure and scalability tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch.
• Professional level of English (C1).

Your Mission

Your mission is to lead technical excellence and engineering team development, ensuring scalable architectural solutions and guiding engineers toward best development practices.

You will be the technical reference of the organization: making strategic architectural decisions, leading by example in code quality, sustainably reducing technical debt, and driving team growth and the company's long-term technological capability.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

• Define and evolve the platform’s technical architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead and mentor a team of 6-10 engineers distributed across multiple development squads.
• Establish and uphold code quality standards, review processes, and engineering best practices.
• Prioritize and manage technical debt strategically, driving refactoring initiatives with measurable impact.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to assess technical feasibility and plan the implementation of new features.
• Coordinate with the DevOps team on infrastructure strategies, deployment pipelines, and cloud architecture.
• Work with QA to define technical testing strategies and quality assurance processes.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies that bring value to the team and product.
• Represent the company in the technical community: conferences, meetups, and open source contributions.
• Define professional development plans for engineers and actively participate in technical talent assessment.

What Are We Looking For?

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in technical leadership roles.
• Advanced proficiency in SOLID principles, design patterns, DDD, Hexagonal Architecture, and CQRS.
• Background in event-driven architectures, microservices, and distributed systems at scale.
• Proven track record in engineering team mentoring, code review leadership, and technical standard definition.
• Experience with infrastructure and scalability tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch.
• Professional level of English (C1).

Nice-to-Have

• Advanced certifications in solutions architecture (AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architecture).
• Experience in high-growth environments and technology scaling challenges.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies applied to technical teams.
• Experience in database design, optimization, and distributed systems.
