Your role
As Teamleader Operations, you will be responsible for managing all operational activities within our Italian branch, with a team of 9 people. This includes Trucking Planning, Customer Service, LTL/FTL Freight Forwarding, charter and capacity purchasing, and carrier negotiations.
You will report functionally to the Senior Manager Operations Region South and directly to the Branch Manager. Your mission is to ensure efficient, high-quality execution of transport assignments while optimizing costs and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the operational production team to achieve business, customer, people, and process goals;
- Take full ownership of operational performance and continuous improvement;
- Implement new services and products in collaboration with internal departments;
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners;
- Optimize truck and trailer utilization and ensure capacity is available at the right price;
- Collaborate with our Business Process Management (BPM) team to improve productivity and tools.
Your profile
- Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree in Transport, Logistics or Business Administration;
- At least 5 years of experience in the logistics sector;
- Native Italian speaker with good command of English;
- Strong leadership and coaching skills;
- Good communication and negotiation skills;
- Strategic mindset with excellent market knowledge;
- Pragmatic and hands-on approach – willing to support the team operationally when needed;
- Customer-focused, result-driven, and quality-oriented;
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills;
- Pro-active approach and attitude to challenge oneself.
