Job summary

VORN Bioenergy Italia srl in Verona, Italy, offers a lead role in the biomethane value chain. You will head the Italian feedstock team, design the biomass strategy, and optimize procurement and contracts across Italian plants.

The role requires experience in biomass markets, strong leadership, and fluency in Italian with English; travel across Italian sites is expected. Hybrid work arrangement is available and a company car is provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the local feedstock managers in the Italian branch.
• Develop and implement the Italian biomass strategy.
• Optimize procurement processes and contracts for biomass and digestate.
• Regularly report KPIs and contract status to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with sustainability documentation and audits.
• Review and apply GHG/GWP regulations at project level.
• Coordinate regional digestate planning and material flows.
• Manage budget planning for raw materials and stocks.
• Support ERP system development and digitalisation.

In our Feedstock team, in Verona area, we are looking for you as Teamlead (m/f/d) Strategic Biomass Procurement; our sites are located across Lombardia, Emilia-Romagna and Veneto regions.

Your Responsibilities

• Leading the local feedstock managers at the Italian branch and supporting the team in implementing the processes, standards and contracts
• Developing and implementing the Italian VORN Biomass Strategy
• Optimizing, reviewing and documenting biomass procurement and management processes, standards and contracts
• Regular reporting: KPIs, current status of contracts at project level
• Ensuring compliance with sustainability documentation; supporting audits
• Reviewing GHG/GWP feedstock regulations and their application in accordance with RED II/III EU and local regulations (DL n.5 09/01/26 and DM 07/08/24)
• Regional preparation and reviewing of feedstock and digestate planning for single plants; supporting biological process management
• Nationwide budget and liquidity planning for raw material requirements, and stocks control (feedstock and digestate)
• Development, planning and implementation of regional digestate strategies
• Implementation and communication of country-specific fertiliser regulations
• Support harvest preparation and operation (BioTaktix)
• Review of harvest processes, service providers and cost structures
• Maintain and support the development of the ERP system, process digitalisation and support the sites and local subsidiaries
• Quality management of feedstocks

Your profile

• Natural or Agricultural Scienceor similar background
• Relevant Professional experience in Biomethane generation or the agriculture sector
• Experience in Agricultural and biomass trading, contracting
• Experience in Crop production, harvesting, logistics
• Advanced excel user, ERP systems knowledge is a plus
• Experience in biogas, biomethane marketing, GHG balancing and offtake strategies would also be welcome
• Languages: Italian mother tongue, English (advanced), German is a plus.
• Experience in managing and developing staff
• Travelling frequently across Italian locations
