Responsibilities
  • Closely collaborate with R&D to identify and drive technical initiatives for material cost reduction, including support for new product development
  • Analyze production processes and bills of materials to uncover technical optimization opportunities and cost-saving measures
  • Organize and lead innovation workshops and cost-benefit analyses involving suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment between technical specifications, Commodity strategies, and evolving market trends
  • Support operational units in harmonizing scopes of supply/services in line with the global sourcing strategies
  • Provide technical and commercial input in development and production projects, including benchmarking, offer analysis, and identification of saving potentials
  • Evaluate and support supplier development from a technical perspective, together with cross-functional internal departments, to ensure optimal supplier selection
  • Coordinate technology scouting and adoption of innovative production approaches to strengthen competitiveness and value creation
Qualifications & Skills
  • University degree in Engineering, Economics, or related field
  • Experience in Procurement, R&D, or Product Cost Engineering, including proven leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of technical procurement methods&tools (e.g., DTC, cost breakdown, VA/VE) and supplier collaboration models
  • Proven ability to influence product development with a value-driven mindset
  • Experience in working within matrix organizations and cross-functional environments
  • Deep understanding of supplier markets, manufacturing technologies, and cost structures
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in multicultural environments
