Job description

Did you know that in our Product Company (PC) in Robassomero several hundred of air compressors are produced on a daily basis by assembling tens of thousands of components coming from Business Partners all over the world? To make it possible we need to rely, every single day, on the right parts and services, from the right source, with the right quality, in the right time, at the right costs.

That’s why it is so crucial for us to count on our Suppliers, one of the most strategic assets of our Company, and on the quality that they are delivering with their parts.

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Team Leader who will bring expertise and passion to drive supplier quality to the next level, improving our Company overall quality performances.

In our Purchasing Team, directly reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supplier Quality Team Leader drives his Team to focus on Supplier deliverables and to develop a quality-focused approach in daily business, being the person in the Company who is in charge to define and execute the quality growth strategy for our supply base.

In collaboration with Sourcing, Production and Engineering Teams, the Supplier Quality Team Leader ensures the purchased goods are supplied according to the PC Quality targets and that all Suppliers are acting in agreement with the Atlas Copco Ethical Code, standards, and specific requirements.

With your Team and external Business Partners you will supervise and keep the supplier quality KPIs on track by implementing appropriate corrective actions, preserving and progressively improving the performances. You will follow up on Suppliers’ new parts qualification readiness related to advance projects and take proper action to solve non-conformities that might occur on current applications. As responsible also for incoming goods inspections and metrology, you will be the connection point between conformity of components and their application (from prototype checks to ensure key dimensions are respected, to the qualification conformity check on production parts coming from final process).

Your Mission
  • Lead and inspire the Supplier Quality Team, creating a high-performance and continuous improvement culture.
  • Develop and execute the supplier quality strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Accelerate supplier development initiatives to improve quality, reliability and competitiveness.

  • Drive supplier readiness and quality assurance during new product development and industrialization projects.

  • Promote proactive risk identification and prevention throughout the supplier lifecycle.
  • Leverage data analytics, digital tools and structured reporting to drive fact-based decisions and performance improvements.
