POSITION: Adult Day Training (ADT) Direct Support Professional Team Leader.
REPORTS TO: ADT Program Manager.
FLSA: Hourly $19.25.
EMPLOYMENT TERM: Full-Time Employment.
SUMMARY: Provide the expertise, knowledge, and skill necessary to organize and supervise Loveland Center participants on campus, and/or in the community. Additionally, the ADT Team Leader will lead a team of Direct Support Professionals. Will maintain high standards of cleanliness and functionality of the physical plant.
QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma and 1 year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. Valid Florida driver’s license.
SKILLS: Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills including Google and Excel. Strong organizational skills; ability to adapt well to last-minute changes in scheduling or programming. Communicate changes to the program manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Data Entry: Accurate tracking and verification of staff and participant attendance; input and maintain attendance records in spreadsheets and within the Therapy system.
  • Create and maintain sub books, survey books, med books, MSDS books, and safeguards in accordance with Medicaid Waiver and the Loveland standards.
  • Support your Program Manager by ensuring thorough timely daily documentation in accordance with the Medicaid Waiver Handbook.
  • Fully adhere to Loveland Center’s Code of Ethics and Unifying Values.
  • Maintain professional standards of the highest quality with regard to health, safety, and program management.
  • Support program staff and ensure that the daily activity calendars are being followed at all times unless otherwise approved by the program manager.
  • Work within prescribed individualized implementation plans and behavior plans for each participant. Ensure that all participant plans/safeguard and fire evacuation plans are reviewed monthly and followed as written.
  • Attend in-service programs and meeting(s) as required for effective planning and programming.
  • Acquire and maintain a proficient level of technological skills as applied to job requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in training to ensure state-mandated training/ 8 hours of annual training is completed by all of your team.
  • Perform DSP duties as needed/assigned.
  • Maintain/keep all environment and equipment in a safe and good working condition. Fill out the weekly physical plant or delegate the responsibility to a DSP to complete. Complete as-needed maintenance or vehicle work orders.
  • Perform all other duties not specifically identified, which may be directly or indirectly related to the function of Team Leader, as assigned by the Program Manager and VP of Programs.
  • Reviewing and approving schedules, timesheets and time off requests, from your employees.
  • Reviewing DSP monthly summaries for quality.
  • Assuring that DSPs enter their daily notes within 24 hours of service provision.
  • Ensure attendance for program and transportation is submitted by the end of each workday.
  • Assign transportation routes along with the manager.
  • Review and balance all petty cash, Publix, and gas receipts on a weekly basis. Ensure all accounts are submitted to the Program Manager at the end of each month for review and submission.
  • Submit purchase orders to the program manager as needed.
  • Providing direct supervision, observations, and staff evaluations for each member of your team.
  • Assuming the role of the primary contact for participants, families and caregivers in your Team.
  • Assign duties to and supervise volunteers.
  • Monitor participant progress through quarterlies, annuals and assessment tools. Report findings to the program manager and the intake specialist.
  • Participate in interviewing, training, and orientation process for all new DSPs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that would normally be met by staff to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of Team Leader, it is regularly required to talk and hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands. The Team Leader is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (more with the assistance of mobility devices). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that a Direct Support Provider would encounter while performing the essential functions of their jobs. Primarily, a Team Leader is subject to indoor conditions and subject to low to moderate noise levels with periodic disruptions in routine. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
