What you’ll do :
Join the team of Regional Finance, specifically in the Tax Department reporting directly to the Tax Director.
Be involved in all tax matters related to Italian entities within an international environment.
As Tax Manager, you’ll be responsible for :
- Tax Compliance: Ensuring all mandatory local tax filings are completed accurately and on time, including corporate income taxes, VAT, withholding taxes, Digital Service Tax, and monitoring the tax consolidation unit status.
- Tax Accounting: Overseeing the calculation of local tax accruals and deferred tax assets and liabilities, collaborating with accounting teams for accurate tax reporting.
- General Advisory and Tax Strategies: Providing tax advisory support to local operations and the Group, proposing optimization strategies such as tax credits, reorganizations, structuring, M&A support, and monitoring interest deductibility.
- Tax Audits & Claims: Supporting responses to tax authority requests, audits, and court proceedings if necessary.
- Supporting business initiatives by analyzing tax implications.
- Assisting the Tax Director on key projects.
- Participating in working groups on various tax topics.
- Keeping updated on tax regulations and their impact.
- Tax Internal Controls: Implementing and optimizing the Tax Control Framework in compliance with SOX and group policies, ensuring operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring :
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a Big Four or comparable law firm or industry sector focused on corporate tax matters.
- A degree in Business Administration, Tax Law, or related field; additional qualifications as Chartered Accountant preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to explain tax concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a global environment and with virtual teams.
- Strong analytical skills, financial analysis, data management, and Excel modeling abilities.
- Capacity to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Flexibility, pragmatism, and a user-oriented problem-solving approach.
- Fluency in Italian and English, both written and verbal.
