Main responsibilities and activities

The Project Engineer leads teams to deliver projects across multiple business units, managing resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope and cost.

Day-to-day activities include:

  1. Managing all aspects of related projects to support strategic objectives
  2. Reporting on project success criteria, metrics, and deployment activities
  3. Applying creative and analytical problem-solving skills, demonstrating teamwork and innovation
  4. Defining user requirements and translating them into project documents such as P&D, layouts, data sheets, and requisitions
  5. Preparing estimates and detailed project plans for all phases
  6. Aligning technical offers and facilitating financial arrangements for procurement
  7. Managing project GANTT charts to meet deadlines and quality standards
  8. Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in collaboration with HSE and QA departments
  9. Maintaining communication flow and organizing meetings with involved site functions
  10. Coordinating with suppliers for design and field activities
  11. Overseeing start-up and qualification of new systems and equipment
Your experience and qualifications

Education:

  • Engineering Degree, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical engineering

Skills:

  • Objectives-focused with excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • High focus with a strategic outlook
  • Customer-focused and self-driven
  • Effective planning and prioritization aligned with business needs
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts
  • Familiarity with IT systems
  • Fluent in English

Experience:

  • At least 3 years as a Project Engineer, ideally in an industrial production environment
  • Experience managing projects related to production and utilities systems
  • Experience delivering projects within budget, including capital projects
