  • Italy has an exciting opportunity for a Talent Development Manager in Rome
  • As a Talent Development Manager in our team, you will support the HR Team in driving talent management processes, including employer branding, performance management, talent development, and engagement.

    • Your key responsibilities will include:
    • Collaborate with business leaders & HRBP to shape and execute the talent strategy, including succession and diversity planning.
    • Manage talent projects and control budgets for effective resource allocation.
    • Track key talent metrics, analyze data, and provide regular reports for strategic decisions to support LM & HRBP.
    • Facilitate the Talent Review Meeting (TRM) cycle and core talent processes like performance management and development.
    • Support in designing BAT’s talent strategy externally through targeted channels and media.
    • Oversee recruitment activities, from attraction to assessment centers, and maintain relationships with external partners.
    • Contribute to a positive work environment and execute employee opinion surveys.
    • Implement the Learning & Development strategy, including training employees and Line Managers on the Talent Cycle, effective talent management, and development practices.
    • Foster continuous improvement of skills and capabilities, engaging with partners (LM, HRBP, AREA Talent) to ensure the right competencies are in place.
    What are we looking for?
    • University Degree in Human Resources or similar; a Master’s degree would be an advantage.
    • At least 4 years’ experience in talent development processes.
    • Strong understanding of talent processes and their practical implementation in a multinational company, including navigating cultural nuances.
    • Good analytical skills and proficiency in analytics platforms for talent insights, such as HR dashboards, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and advanced Excel skills.
    • Experience with HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday) for managing talent data and processes.
    • Good knowledge and interest in social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
    • Proficient in managing multiple projects or assignments simultaneously with accuracy and speed.
    • Ability to prioritize issues and tasks and resilience/tenacity to deliver results in a changing environment.
    • Ability to self-manage and guide within broad guidance received from line manager.
    • Collaborative communication style and proven ability to persuade, influence, and build credibility with stakeholders.
    • Adaptability and flexibility in approach, with a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
