About the role:
The Therapy Development Specialist plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product & therapy training programs for field support personnel and customers.

The selected candidate will be responsible for obtaining information needed to prepare in-house training programs, training materials, developing course content, determining methodology, and coordinating the development of training aids. They will conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. They will also revise lesson plans to meet new training requirements and keep technical information up to date.

The selected candidate will act as a therapy and scientific expert to the commercial organization, as well as a medical and scientific liaison to evaluate external research proposals, in alignment with the overall clinical strategy, and build strong partnerships with external customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer education programs through strategy implementation, objectives delivery, and logistics execution, working effectively with stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, internal and external, serving as a liaison between educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific programs.
  • Identifying, partnering with, and managing resources (e.g., vendors, internal departments) to meet meeting and event objectives.
  • Evaluating program impact, reassessing objectives and outcomes, and planning for continuous improvement.
  • Creating a professional development plan with the partnership of a direct supervisor.
  • Acting as a scientific and clinical partner to Boston Scientific customers.
  • Defining clinical research priorities and participating in local research projects.
  • Acting as the Therapy expert for Chronic Pain and Movement Disorders, delivering presentations/discussions in Boston Scientific educational activities to expand use of current and new indications.
  • Providing advanced technical troubleshooting support to Boston Scientific customers.
  • Leading training for new platforms, products, and solutions to customers and internal sales teams.

Candidate profile:

  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience in the medical field, therapy expansion/therapy development, and project management.
  • Background in Healthcare Management, Engineering, or Neuroscience; a PhD in Neuroscience is a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge in Neuromodulation, Pain Management, or Movement Disorders is a plus.
  • Fluent English (B2 or higher) for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset and planning/organization skills.
  • Flexibility to travel (>50%).
  • Decision-making experience in business relationships and project management, with clear communication skills.
  • Teamwork orientation and mentoring skills.
