NIDEC CONVERSION is looking for a skilled professional to join our Electrical Design Team in Montebello Vicentino, Italy. This role focuses on developing mechanical solutions for electrical panels and systems.

You will create 3D models, issue General Assembly drawings, and integrate electrical components. The position requires travel and offers a hybrid working model. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.

Nidec Conversion is looking for a skilled professional to join our Electrical Design Team in Montebello Site.

In this role, you will work closely with our electrical engineers, serving as the go-to expert for all mechanical aspects of our projects.

Your focus will be developing mechanical solutions for electrical panels, containers, and skids, as well as handling the installation engineering for various electrical systems.

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• On a day-to-day basis, you will create 3D models to optimize equipment layouts and maximize space efficiency.
• You will be responsible for issuing 2D and 3D General Assembly drawings for clients and suppliers, while also managing relationships with external mechanical consultants and equipment vendors.
• A core part of your job will involve finding smart ways to integrate electrical components into panels and fit equipment into containers.
• When needed, you will also draft manufacturing drawings for structural carpentry.
• Additionally, you will analyze thermal management of electric components, implementing solutions that can involve ventilation, air conditioning and liquid cooling systems.
• You will also study outdoor solutions to guarantee the right protection degree, painting cycles, and corrosion resistance solutions.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

A willingness to travel briefly, both nationally and internationally, is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (preferred) or high school diploma.
• Experience in power systems/electric cabinets and assemblies design is required, along with basic knowledge of material properties and thermal management technologies.
• A good knowledge of Microsoft Office, mechanical CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD) is required.
• Basic knowledge of thermal and CFD simulation (Flotherm or equivalent) are an additional advantage.
