Nidec Conversion, based in Cinisello Balsamo, Italy, is seeking an Electrical Engineering professional to join the design and development team. You will work on power converter projects, focusing on control algorithms, simulation, design and testing.

The role includes firmware development, environment testing, documentation, and collaboration with factory teams to build and test products. Hybrid work is available and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of work experience in relevant field.
• Experience with simulation software (MATLAB, Simulink, Coder).
• Experience with microprocessor boards in programming, design and production.
• Experience in embedded C/C++ programming.
• Familiarity with inverter for Active Front End applications (grid side).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic diagrams.
• Proficient English language for documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications.

Summary Of Role The qualified candidate will join the design and development engineering team located in Cinisello Balsamo (MI), where he will work on projects related to power converters, mainly on the implementation of control algorithms, analysis and resolution of related problems, including simulation, design and tests.

Principle Job Responsibilities

• Development of control and protection algorithms and firmware for power converters.
• Modeling and simulation for the development of controls.
• Requirements analysis and translation into technical specifications.
• Firmware implementation, testing and troubleshooting.
• Software maintenance and identification of improvements / corrective actions.
• Hardware integration support.
• Participation in environmental tests.
• Collaboration with the factory to support the construction and testing of products
• Creation of documentation (specifications, test reports, manuals)

Required Qualifications And Experience

• At least 2 years of work experience
• Master's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Experience in the use of simulation software (MATLAB, Simulink, Coder)
• Experience, in the role, gained in companies operating in the programming, design and production of microprocessor boards
• Experience in programming embedded systems using C / C ++.
• Knowledge of inverter for Active Front End applications (grid side)
• Familiarity with reading and drawing electrical and electronic diagrams
• Knowledge of the English language for the preparation of documentation.
• Knowledge of the main IT applications (MS Office).

Salary range: 40.000-45.000€
