Reporting To

Systems Drives Operations Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions and in compliance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. The work model for this role is remote. This position contributes to Process Industries in the Georgia/Southern region. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Supervising installation of new equipment at customer sites according to manufacturer specifications.
  2. Interpreting maintenance manuals, schematics, and software tools; repairing equipment using electronics knowledge, test instruments, computers, and hand tools.
  3. Leading workers in servicing and repairing ABB equipment; instructing customers in electrical theory and operation of ABB Drives; leading drive system commissioning projects.
  4. Consulting with engineering personnel to resolve system operation and maintenance issues.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a related field with 2+ years of related work or military experience, or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of AC and DC drive systems.
  • Experience in field service engineering for AC and DC drive systems, including use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, data loggers, PDMA motor testing, and CMC measurements. Experience with ABB 800xA is a plus.
