This position reports to

Systems Drives Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. The work model for this role is remote. This position contributes to Process Industries in the Georgia/Southern region. You will be mainly responsible for:

• Installation supervision according to manufacturer’s specifications of new equipment at customer sites.
• Interpreting maintenance manuals, schematics, and software tools. Repairing equipment using knowledge of electronics and test instruments, computers, and hand tools.
• Leading workers in servicing and repairing ABB equipment. Instructing customers in electrical theory and operation of ABB Drives. Leading drive system commissioning projects.
• Consulting with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.

Qualifications for the role

• Associates degree in a related field and 2+ years of related work/military experience, or HS diploma/GED and 4+ years of related experience.
• Understanding of AC and DC drive systems.
• Experience in performing field service engineering for AC and DC drive systems, using test equipment including oscilloscopes, data loggers, PDMA motor testing, and CMC measurements. Experience with ABB 800xA is a plus.
