Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated System & Signaling EMI/EMC Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa, IT.

Accountabilities

  • Work in an EMI/EMC team to prevent and resolve issues related to electromagnetic compatibility, within product development, subsystems, and railway system integration.
  • Understand and apply constraints related to EMI/EMC throughout the V-cycle.
  • Design, specify, report, conduct in situ and laboratory tests, monitor projects, and participate in meetings.
  • Manage EMI/EMC Requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve EMI/EMC interfaces among subsystems.
  • Perform technical analysis and simulations on EMI/EMC aspects.
  • Verify EMI/EMC documentation according to V&V Plan.
  • Plan and execute on-site EMI/EMC tests.
  • Supervise technical analysis and measurements, including site surveys.
  • Participate in laboratory tests for equipment compliance (e.g., CE marking).
  • Participate in on-site subsystem tests for EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Prepare EMC technical files.

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • EMC expertise in Railway and Metro Systems.
  • Experience in Requirements and Interface Management related to EMI/EMC.
  • Background in electrical and electronic engineering.

Desired Skills/Knowledge

  • Project leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of railway signaling systems (Master System STS: CBTC, ERTMS, TVM, SEI, ...).

Education/Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering.

Languages

  • English - Proficient
  • Italian
