Job Description: SYSTEM & SIGNALING EMI/EMC ENGINEER, Genoa

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated System & Signaling EMI/EMC Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic, based in Genoa, Italy.

Accountabilities
  1. Work within an EMI/EMC team to prevent and resolve issues related to electromagnetic compatibility during product development and system integration.
  2. Manage EMI/EMC requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including design, testing, and verification.
  3. Identify, manage, and resolve EMI/EMC interfaces among subsystems, such as signaling systems and rolling stock.
  4. Conduct technical analysis and simulations related to EMI/EMC issues.
  5. Plan and execute on-site system EMI/EMC tests and laboratory tests for equipment compliance.
  6. Supervise technical analysis and measurements, including on-site surveys.
  7. Prepare technical files for EMC compliance.
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Expertise in EMC Railway and Metro System Engineering.
  • Experience in Requirements Management & Development, and Interface Management related to EMI/EMC.
  • Background in electrical and electronic engineering or telecommunications.
Desired Skills
  • Project leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of railway signaling systems (e.g., CBTC, ERTMS, TVM, SEI).
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering.
Languages
  • Proficient in English.
  • Italian language skills are preferred.
