Position: System Engineer
aizoOn, a global independent technology consulting firm specializing in innovation, is seeking a System Engineer to join the Aerospace, Defense & Naval Engineering division. The selected candidate will work at a major client site in the defense sector, supporting System Engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify operational requirements of the client and translate them into high-level technical requirements.
- Define system architecture to meet identified technical requirements.
- Define and evaluate high-level technical requirements, breaking them down into functional, performance, mechanical, and interface requirements.
- Draft interface documents.
- Integrate, validate, and qualify the system according to MIL-STD standards or design norms.
- Assess system performance and develop simulation models using tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK or LabVIEW.
- Conduct final verification and testing with the client or end-user.
- Perform installation activities on platforms, ground testing, and official testing.
- Manage projects and planning; maintain close relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Support Sales & Marketing team by preparing technical proposals and cost estimates for new and innovative products.
Requirements:
- Degree in technical-scientific disciplines.
- At least three years of experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of the English language.
- Experience in systems engineering, including defining, specifying, and documenting HW/FW/SW systems.
- Experience in designing, integrating, and validating high-tech systems/subsystems.
- Knowledge of RF chain elements and their characteristics (antennas, frequencies, etc.).
- Proficiency with SysML (BD diagrams, IBDs, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams).
- Experience with the system engineering lifecycle, from requirements management (preferably using DOORS) to acceptance testing.
- Experience with programming paradigms, algorithms, and data processing technologies.
- Knowledge of VME, VxWorks, Ethernet system bus.
- Knowledge of main communication RF chain components covering HF, VHF, UHF, SHF bands.
- Understanding of military/industrial documentation standards (MIL-498, MIL-2167A, or others).
- Knowledge of debugging techniques and integrated testing tools.
