Aiming to strengthen our Oil & Gas Department for an important project based in Tuscany, Italy, we are recruiting a

SYSTEM ENGINEER – AUXILIARY SYSTEMS – OIL & GAS DOMAIN

Location: Florence

The selected resource will be directly engaged in engineering project activities, with increasing levels of autonomy and responsibility.

He/she will be responsible for the System Auxiliaries design for Steam / Gas Turbine driven Compressor and Generator applications, Electric Motors, and Turboexpanders, as well as maintaining and incorporating new cost-effective solutions for designs.

Responsibilities include:

• Executing P&ID diagrams using CAD systems, including detailed information about piping, main equipment such as electric motors, heat exchangers, vessels, and valves.
• Ensuring drafting consistency with inputs, completeness according to customer requirements and standards, and timely documentation delivery.
• Selecting main items (control/on-off valves, boosters, heaters) in line with customer requirements and standards.
• Ensuring design adherence to templates and best practices.
• Performing system component calculations (sizing orifices, PCVs, PSVs, on/off valves, filters, heaters) and developing predictive models (using Matlab/Simulink, FlowMaster, Hysis) to identify transients and define high-level control logic.
• Analyzing customer input exchanges, participating in design review sessions.

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma or BSc Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Energy, Electrical, Chemical).
• Good understanding of machine operation and applications.
• Understanding of control processes and supporting functions.
• Knowledge of Mechanical and Instrument disciplines, including piping class, material selection, instrument selection, and installation.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry will be advantageous.
• Tools: AutoCAD, Office; Nice to have: Matlab/Simulink, Teamcenter, Rulestream.
