Hitachi Rail Limited cerca un System Engineer da inserire nell’Engineering Department per ruoli legati al Rolling Stock. La sede può essere in Pistoia o Napoli, in ambiente internazionale e dinamico.

Il candidato ideale possiede una laurea magistrale in Ingegneria e 3–5 anni di esperienza nel settore ferroviario, con conoscenze di RAMS, DOORS e strumenti di progettazione. Si richiede disponibilità a viaggi nazionali/internazionali.

Competenze

• Esperienza (3–5 anni) nel settore ferroviario o in ambienti industriali complessi.
• Buona conoscenza delle principali normative e standard ferroviari.
• Buona conoscenza di IBM DOORS per la gestione dei requisiti.
• Buone conoscenze di processi ingegneristici e operazioni ferroviarie.
• Buona conoscenza dell’ingegneria di sistema e della gestione dei requisiti.
• Buona conoscenza dei principi RAMS.
• Buona conoscenza delle metodologie di verifica e validazione del progetto.
• Buona conoscenza di software di progettazione elettrica/meccanica (AutoCAD, Creo, Catia, ecc.)
• Buone capacità di lavoro in team e ambiente internazionale.
• Buone capacità organizzative e problem-solving.
• Capacità di relazionarsi con stakeholder interni ed esterni.
• Disponibilità a viaggi nazionali/internazionali occasionali.
• Disponibilità a lavorare in progetti con supervisione minima.

Mansioni

• Preparare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS).
• Definire e gestire interfacce di sistema durante l’intero ciclo di vita del progetto.
• Analizzare e valutare la documentazione tecnica dei fornitori.
• Preparare e verificare disegni/specifiche di installazione/integrazione di sistema.
• Condurre revisioni progettuali con stakeholder interni e fornitori.
• Preparare Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) e Functional Test Specifications (FTS).
• Partecipare a test di tipo a sistema e review dei report di type test.
• Supportare l’integrazione a bordo, i test di performance e la validazione.
• Rivedere documentazione di progetto con clienti e fornitori.
• Garantire conformità con requisiti input, normative ferroviarie internazionali e vincoli di progetto.
• Preparare documentazione per l’approvazione dei veicoli e supportare la fase di omologazione.

Job Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated System Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department. The position is based in Pistoia or Napoli - IT.

Accountabilities

The main accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS)
• Define and manage system interfaces (both internal and external) throughout the entire project lifecycle
• Analyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers
• Prepare and verify system installation/integration drawings/specifications
• Conduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned onboard systems, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers
• Prepare Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) as well as Functional Test Specifications (FTS) (including performance tests) for the assigned onboard systems
• Attend at system stand-alone type test and review of type test reports
• Support onboard integration, performance testing and validation phases
• Review design documentation with customers and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality)
• Prepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Experience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments
• Good knowledge of main railway regulations and standards
• Good knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool
• Good knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations
• Good knowledge of system engineering and requirements management disciplines
• Good knowledge of RAMS principles and processes
• Good knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies
• Good knowledge of electrical / mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Creo, Catia, etc.)
• Good knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering disciplines
• Good knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment
• Good organizational skills, alongside team-working, problem-solving and results-driven mindset
• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers)
• Ability to work within project teams under minimal supervision
• Availability for occasional short-term national and international business trips

• Fast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments
• Good business acumen combined with solid technical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education/ Qualifications

Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics disciplines preferred).

Languages

Knowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level).
