We are looking for a System Engineer to join our Headquarters based in Milan.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documentation for Customer and specifications for internal or sub-contractor’s use.
• Prepare technical documentation for Customer compliant with Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology.
• Participate in meetings with Customers’ representatives at all stages of the enquiry and contract to ensure compliance with Customers’ requirements and Customer satisfaction.
• Produce detailed costing of all materials and services and create the technical content to be submitted to Customers.
• Support in the preparation of formal documentation and design information for the manufacture of cable, accessories, and for cable installation activities.
• Occasionally work on details of specific aspects not fully defined at offer stage (e.g., design of special parts, definition/coordination of qualification testing, design of prototypes); includes optimizing cable and system design to reduce project costs.
• Participate in technical presentations to Customers, technical conferences, seminars and workshops.
• Develop new calculation procedures and computer methods for determining product and system technical proposals and ensure all calculations and procedures comply with technical and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Thermal or Mechanical Engineering
• 2 years of specific experience in electrical engineering (energy industry is a plus)
• Experience in managing and delivering complex projects through Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a plus
• Familiarity with reading and understanding customer specifications
• Ability to understand relevant national and international standards
• Knowledge of design calculation methods and computer solutions; ability to develop and improve these through mathematics and programming
• Ability to combine technical knowledge with communication and liaison skills, internally and with Customer representatives
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, target orientation, with ability to manage priorities in coordination with Management
• Fast learning and self-commitment
• Availability for frequent short business travels
