Competenze

Your Contribution To Prysmian's Success

We are looking for a DC System Engineer to join our office in Milan. Reporting directly to the DC Submarine System Engineering Sr. Manager, the key activities are :

• Preparation of technical documentation for Customer and specifications for internal or sub-contractor’s use.
• Preparation of technical documentation for Customer compliant with Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology.
• Participation in meetings with Customers’ representatives at all stages of the enquiry and contract to ensure compliance with Customers’ requirements, and Customer’s satisfaction.
• Production of detailed costing of all materials and services and production of the technical content to be submitted to Customers.
• Support in the preparation of formal documentation and design information for the manufacture of cable, accessories, and for cable installation activities.
• Occasionally, work on details of specific aspects which are typically not completely defined at offer stage, e.g., design of special parts, definition / coordination of qualification testing, design of prototypes, etc. This includes optimizing cable and system design to reduce project costs.
• Participation in technical presentations to Customers, technical conferences, seminars, and workshops.
• Development of new calculation procedures and computer methods for determining product and system technical proposals, ensuring all procedures meet necessary standards.

You Are The Right Fit If You Have / are

Minimum Qualifications

• Master Degree in Electrical Engineering (Thermal or Mechanical as second options)
• Full proficiency in both written and spoken English

Minimum Experience And Skills

• 2 years of specific experience in electrical engineering (energy industry is a plus)
• Experience managing and delivering complex projects using Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology
• Ability to read and understand customer specifications
• Knowledge of relevant national and international standards
• Basic knowledge of cable construction and main characteristics
• Knowledge of design calculation methods and computer solutions, with ability to develop and improve them through mathematics and programming
• Strong communication and liaison skills, both internally and with customer representatives
