Position

The Sustainability Manager - Resilient & Circular Ecosystems will contribute to the organisation's transformative journey, weaving sustainability into its core values. He/She will help define and implement Loro Piana’s global sustainability strategy, with a focus on nature, communities, and circularity. He/She will report directly to the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and lead a small, dedicated team to enhance the company’s high-quality value chain

Job responsibilities
  • Lead nature and social impact projects, reinforcing Loro Piana’s commitment to building resilient ecosystems.
  • Define and implement long-term strategies and KPIs related to nature, social impact, and circularity.
  • Collaborate with product teams to develop a circular product and materials strategy.
  • Monitor the circularity landscape to identify risks and opportunities for innovation.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project progress and measurable impact.
  • Act as a strategic sparring partner to the CSO on biodiversity and sustainable value chain initiatives.
  • Lead and manage a small team, fostering an entrepreneurial and proactive culture.
  • Travel internationally as needed to meet stakeholders and oversee strategy implementation.
Profile
  • At least a 10-year experience in sustainability
  • Experience in sustainability within textile and apparel, or within consumer goods companies with agrifood supply chains.
  • A proven track record in designing and executing strategies on biodiversity, circularity, and social impact in an international corporate context.
  • Familiarity with relevant frameworks and regulations such as GRI, B Corp, SBTN, TNFD, IUCN, and CSRD.
  • On-the-ground experience working with local communities, NGOs, and institutions, preferably in Latin America, Asia-Pacific, or Africa.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including collaboration with public institutions and academia.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with pragmatic, fast-paced, and innovative thinking. Curios mindset and able to navigate ambiguity and change
  • Around 10 years of Experience leading teams and building a collaborative, mission-driven team culture.
  • A strong interest in the fashion industry and value chain, and a desire to promote Italian excellence globally.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
