We are currently looking for a qualified professional to join our team based in North-East Italy.

The role primarily involves assessing the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets, using established procedures, personal experience, and technical knowledge suited to routine situations. A key focus of the position will be conducting classification and statutory surveys for ships in service.

The role
  • Support the service delivery team, contributing to the success of Marine & Offshore and LR.
  • Survey at equipment manufacturer’s works for verification and certification.
  • Provide technical assistance to Marine & Offshore Surveyors in other regions.
  • Manage ‘management of change’ processes for clients.
  • Prepare/Review Performance Standards and Verification Schemes.
  • Support local business opportunities.
  • Manage assigned work, communicate with clients, control finances, and report accurately.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, focusing on service delivery and retention.
  • Collaborate with other departments and support business interests.
  • Adhere to role profile and behavioral competencies, fostering team achievement.
What You Bring
  • Commitment to safety and promoting Lloyd’s Register's safety culture.
  • Degree-qualified surveyor or relevant industrial experience.
  • Qualification from a recognized engineering or physical science program or marine/n nautical institution with sea-going experience.
  • Ability to obtain authorizations for survey of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with verification, class, statutory, and engineering standards (preferred).
  • Relevant transferable skills and experience.
  • Strategic thinking and understanding of team objectives.
  • Change management and adaptability skills.
  • Self-motivation, technical strength, good communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
