Support / Cashier / Barista - Inner - Sunset
Hourly Rate : $18.67 + Tips
Days : 4-5 Shifts Per Week / Weekend Required (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays)
Shift Times : 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Job Summary
Responsible for delivering an excellent service experience, including preparation, setup, execution, and enhancement of service steps and related activities.
Activities & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in designated stations and/or rotation as business levels dictate
- Complete checklists as required, including opening, closing, and mid-shift tasks
- Identify and address room needs and deficiencies independently
- Prepare beverages and food items, including brewing coffee, making cocktails, pouring wine, and running food
- Set up and clean tables, prepare family meals
- Sanitize surfaces and high-touch areas before and after use
- Restock supplies, pack to-go orders, and perform cleaning duties
- Manage flow of service, greet guests, support traffic flow
- Handle phone inquiries, take orders, manage reservations
- Promote the company's mission through professional conduct
- Maintain product knowledge across menu categories and explain items to guests
- Inquire about allergies and communicate with culinary team for modifications
- Achieve a pass rate of 75% on biweekly staff tests
- Attend staff training or reschedule with management
- Follow attendance and uniform policies
- Display a warm, welcoming demeanor to guests and colleagues
- Anticipate guest needs and utilize resources to ensure satisfaction
- Work independently and collaboratively, supporting team members
- Follow sanitation protocols, including handwashing and surface sanitizing
- Adapt to shifting stations during shifts
- Use POS system accurately for orders and payments
- Resolve guest service issues professionally and promptly
- Handle multiple online and in-house orders efficiently
- Follow policies and procedures, perform duties as directed by management
Tools & Technology
- Coffee equipment, trays, food safety labeling systems, phone systems, online ordering platforms, POS system (Toast), Microsoft Word and Excel
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand operation standards, recipes, and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of food and beverage service
- At least three years of front-of-house experience preferred
- Understanding of dining room procedures and functions
- Basic math skills, ability to operate cash register and handle money
- Ability to stand for long periods; sit when necessary
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining composure
