This role can be based in one of our offices in Paris, Munich, Milan, or Madrid.
Amazon is looking for an experienced, customer focused analytical leader to join the EU Fashion Team.
As Strategic Supply Chain Manager you will own defining and executing a Supply Chain Roadmap with several of our most loved brands in Fashion. You will collaborate with a team of Product and Programs managers and Brand Specialists to drive operational process improvements for the vendors with a goal of maximizing product availability and executional excellence.
In this critical role, you are going to help redefining Supply Chain to align it with Amazon procurement systems and to bring collaboration with strategic Fashion vendors to a next level. You will be involved in all aspects of vendor operations management and Supply Chain optimization. In this role, you need to be able to lead and influence both internal stakeholders as well as our vendors in an ambiguous environment, while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.
Key job responsibilities
Key areas of focus include identifying and delivering improvement opportunities around demand and production planning, optimizing end-to-end supply chain integration with a goal of reducing waste and carbon emissions. You will analyze production and delivery lead-times and operational excellence inputs such as EDI adoption, PO confirmations and fulfillment, efficient receive process and inventory placement. This role enables you to "hit the ground running" and make transformation impact on how we manage supply chain in one of the most exciting businesses.
A day in the life
As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate an ownership of supply chain efficiencies and will play a critical role in helping Amazon to build, manage and optimize a complex procurement system that continues to evolve and expand. You will analyze metrics and be involved with all aspects of operational vendor management. You must be highly organized, self-starting, highly analytical and be able to thrive in a high energy environment. Ideally, you will bring previous experience in supply chain and / or operations consulting.
