The Role

Chematek is seeking a Structured Supply Chain & Logistics Solutions Specialist to join its integrated Supply Chain and Logistics function.

Reporting to the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, the role will focus on complex, strategic and project-based activities that go beyond the routine movement of products from A to B.

The successful candidate will help Chematek design the operating models, partnerships, infrastructure and cost structures required to support new business, larger contracts and long-term growth. The role will work across Chematek’s divisions and international platform, connecting commercial opportunity with practical supply chain execution.

This may include specialist hardware, production partnerships, strategic sourcing, warehousing and storage infrastructure, cross-border operating structures, joint ventures, M&A projects and other non-standard supply chain solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structured supply chain and logistics solutions for complex projects, tenders and long-term commercial opportunities.
• Work with commercial managers to ensure that proposed business models are operationally viable, commercially competitive and scalable.
• Help define how Chematek’s international platform can be used to deliver products and services across different markets, entities and customer structures.
• Build and assess cost models covering sourcing, production, transport, storage, duties, taxes, equipment, infrastructure and working capital.
• Support the development of production partnerships, toll-manufacturing arrangements, joint ventures and selected M&A initiatives.
• Evaluate opportunities to strengthen Chematek’s strategic position through control of production capacity, raw materials, storage, logistics assets and delivery infrastructure.
• Coordinate supply chain requirements for specialist hardware and equipment supporting Chematek’s products and services.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate structured agreements with logistics providers, warehouses, freight forwarders, equipment suppliers and production partners.
• Develop longer-term commercial arrangements, framework agreements and strategic partnerships with key suppliers and service providers.
• Assess cross-border structures, including customs, import VAT, duties, Incoterms, importer-of-record arrangements and intercompany movements.
• Identify operational, fiscal and supply risks and coordinate the appropriate internal or external expertise.
• Convert successful project solutions into repeatable models that can be used across Chematek’s businesses and geographies.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, strategic sourcing, industrial projects or commercial operations.
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and project-management skills.
• Able to understand how operational structures influence pricing, margin, risk and customer competitiveness.
• Comfortable working across commercial, technical, financial, legal and operational teams.
• Good understanding of international trade, customs and total landed-cost considerations.
• Experience in chemicals, industrial manufacturing, energy, refining or dangerous goods would be advantageous.
• Strategic, analytical and entrepreneurial, with the ability to work in areas where no established process yet exists.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
