Cargoful is seeking a Supply Chain Engineer to leverage AI for enhancing transportation operations. This role involves close collaboration with Business and Tech teams to analyze client supply chain data, design automated systems, and support implementations.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant field and possess strong skills in SQL, Python, and data analysis. This position offers a hybrid work model, fostering growth alongside a dynamic team in Milan.

Competenze

• 0-3 years of experience in a technical or analytical role, preferably in B2B software.
• Fluent in Italian (C2) and English (B2+).

What you'll actually do

You work side by side with our Business and Tech teams to tackle complex, high-stakes questions about our clients' supply chains. You're the person who writes the SQL query, builds the model, spots the pattern — and then translates it into AI-powered solutions that change how our clients operate. Every day.

What does this look like day-to-day?

Designing and deploying smart agents that automate clients' workflows end-to-end. This include simulating and modelling clients' supply chains inside Cargoful, leveraging advanced optimisation models and AI

Collecting, cleaning and analysing client data in Excel and Python to surface trends and improvement opportunities

Writing SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate and prepare data for analysis, implementation and reporting

Ensuring seamless data integration between Cargoful and client environments (via API, staging tables, flat-file exchange, scripts and data manipulation tools)

Supporting new and existing clients from implementation to go-live to daily support

Who you are

• Graduated in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematical Engineering or related degree
• 0-3 years of experience in a technical or analytical role. Preferred: any prior experience as a Solution Consultant, Solution Analyst or similar roles in a B2B software company
• Fluent in Italian (C2 required) and English (B2+) - we work with international clients
• Comfortable with the everyday tools and tech of today's world (Claude/ Gemini/ ChatGPT, Google Sheets/ Excel, SQL and Python)
• A star jolly: flexible, high-energy, fast-learner, you fill in gaps and keep momentum
• Doer, owner, hands-on: you take responsibility and close loops without being chased

The deal

• Clear growth path: Supply Chain Engineer - Senior Supply Chain Engineer - Solution Engineer - Lead Solution Engineer, with the opportunity to grow with the Delivery team and be among the first hires
• Full-time, permanent contract
• Full AI tooling + tech stack to work efficiently
• Set-up: Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site in our Milan office (Porta Romana)
