SDG Group Italy is seeking AI Engineers with 1–3 years in AI/ML to join an international delivery unit. You’ll handle end-to-end AI projects across Fashion, Utilities, Banking, Insurance, and Healthcare, working with Generative AI and cutting-edge ML in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll collaborate with Data Engineers to deploy models to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) using Databricks, SageMaker, and Vertex AI, while translating insights into client-ready actions.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in a STEM field
• 1–3 years of experience in AI/ML/Data Science
• Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn)
• Familiarity with Git, virtual environments, and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Understanding of core ML concepts or Generative AI experience (LLMs, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, OpenAI API, LangChain, vector databases)
• Fluency in Italian (C1) and good English (to be tested)

SDG Group is looking for AI Engineers, motivated professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience in AI & ML, to join our AI & ML Engineering team.

From day one, you will be fully integrated into an international delivery unit, working with multicultural teams on high-impact projects across cutting-edge and highly competitive sectors such as Fashion & Luxury, Utilities, Banking, Insurance, and Healthcare.

This role is ideal for candidates eager to grow fast in a dynamic, international, and constantly evolving environment, with direct exposure to Generative AI and advanced Machine Learning projects.

• Full-Lifecycle AI Development: Manage the entire journey of an AI solution, from initial problem-solving and data cleaning to building production-ready systems.
• Cutting-Edge Modeling: Implement a wide range of algorithms—from traditional statistical optimization and predictive modeling (supervised/unsupervised) to advanced Generative AI using LLMs and Transformers.
• Industrialization & AIOps: Transition models from local environments to the cloud using an engineering mindset. You will ensure systems are scalable and reliable by applying AIOps methodologies.
• Cloud Mastery: Work across the "Big Three" (AWS, GCP, and Azure) and leverage specialized platforms like Databricks, SageMaker, and Vertex AI to handle large-scale data science needs.
• Strategic Insight & Communication: Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights. You will act as a bridge between technical data and client needs, presenting findings that solve real-world challenges.
• Collaborative Deployment: Work in synergy with Data Engineers to integrate models into live systems, ensuring they are not just "smart" but operational.

Requirements:

• Education: Master’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related).
• Experience: Professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience in AI / ML / Data Science are a strong fit.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn).
• Technical Foundations: Familiarity with Git, virtual environments, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Machine Learning / AI Basics: Understanding of core ML concepts (regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction) or experience with Generative AI: LLMs, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, OpenAI API, LangChain, vector databases.
• Languages: Fluency in Italian (C1 level) and proficiency in English. Please note that language skills will be tested during the interview process.

What we offer:

• Salary: Indicative Gross Annual Salary (RAL) ranging from €28,000 to €36,000. Positioning within this range will be determined based on technical skills, specific role experience, and interview outcomes, following objective and predefined criteria. (For exceptional profiles falling outside this range, a salary revision may be evaluated subject to internal approval).
• Work Mode: Total flexibility. 100% remote, hybrid, or in-office. You decide where and how you work best.
