Supply Chain Engineer - Aviation Domain

Job Description:
Evaluate and assure supplier produced Aero-Engine parts are delivered to meet Project schedule. Identify bottlenecks and constraints that will be used to develop mitigation plans to improve on-time delivery from suppliers.
This position requires aspects of Supply Chain management, Project management, and Delivery assurance.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must be Italian citizens, speak fluent English, and be familiar with Project Management tools. Professional experience with MS Projects would be considered as a preference requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management and Production Planning support of various OEM sites and their suppliers across Italy and Europe.
- Develop positive working relationships with engineers, buyers, and program management teams at both OEM and supply base levels.
- Provide planning support to the Program Industrial Leader, the Program Manager, and the Technical Project Manager to ensure compliance with the Project Planning as needed.
- Conduct detailed observations, collect data on parts and processes scheduling, and analyze the data to ensure On-Time Delivery.
- Monitor and provide regular updates on production schedules, work-in-progress (WIP), and deviation from delivery commitment dates, using properly defined KPIs.
- Identify bottlenecks and gaps, support the development of mitigation plans, and lead the action plans through closure.
- Document, summarize, write reports, create presentations, and disseminate information as required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related degrees.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of MS Project (Mandatory)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Forging, Casting, Assembly, Machining).
- Knowledge of aero-engine products (gearboxes, turbines, oil system).
- Capability of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical information.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management, Production Planning/Operations.
- Experience in using SAP or similar ERP systems.
