Our client is an international supplier with a local presence. They have 44 plants based in 17 countries and work closely with clients worldwide.

As the world leader in metal packaging technology, the Group designs and manufactures a wide range of innovative and sustainable metal packaging solutions. Their customers include some of the world’s largest and most-respected companies.

They currently have a vacancy for a

  • Supply Chain Director Italy, Greece, and Turkey.

This position will report directly to the Group Supply Chain Director.

In this role, the Supply Chain Director is responsible for coordinating the team of logistic managers across the region.

Health and safety principles are always a priority. Working closely with sales teams, the Supply Chain Director will interface effectively with customers to ensure commitments are fulfilled on time and in full.

In coordination with the GHQ, s/he will promote and develop projects for integration and improvement of supply chain processes.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Ensure an effective demand forecast process as a basis for accurate planning, procurement, and logistics.
  2. Execute mid- and long-term planning to achieve the lowest possible manufacturing costs, improved performance, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Consolidate supply plans respecting Group production allocations and coordinate the monthly PSI process.
  4. Support sourcing in operational procurement to secure flexible and timely delivery, monitor performance of producers and partners.
  5. Review the carbon footprint and environmental performance of storage and distribution providers.
  6. Monitor supply chain indicators against budget targets.
  7. Lead the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through KPIs.

Requisiti:

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in manufacturing or related functions is required. Experience in budgeting and preparing rolling forecasts is essential.

The candidate should be customer and quality-focused, with strong coaching and leadership skills—aiming to develop team members (currently 7 direct reports)—and demonstrate good problem-solving, negotiation, organization, and planning skills.

IT literacy with practical experience and good understanding of ERP systems is also required.
