Job Description:
Trade Compliance: Compliance specialists help organizations ensure that their operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. They monitor and document compliance activities, advise leadership and management on compliance matters, and liaise with government agencies. They are essential for organizations aiming to stay compliant with regulations, ensuring all operations are documented and monitored to adhere to rules.
Supply Chain: Support and collaborate with SCM to ensure customer service and shipping quality levels while minimizing inventory and managing resources, including transportation and logistics costs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support SCM in developing strategies to meet KPIs for on-time delivery, inventory, and T&L.
- Optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including order entry, purchasing, manufacturing planning, inventory, distribution, and freight.
- Participate in all import-export activities to ensure full compliance with trade laws and regulations.
Trade Compliance:
- Manage import documentation such as shipping bills, invoices, certificates of origin, licenses, and customs documents.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and carriers for transportation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient operations and compliance.
- Ensure proper customs procedures, product classification, origin determination, and adherence to trade agreements.
- Develop and support trade compliance strategies and interpret regulations.
- Identify duty reduction opportunities and process improvements.
- Standardize import/export processes and train staff on customs regulations.
- Conduct audits and monitor legal and regulatory changes.
- Maintain import/export records and documentation.
Supply Chain:
- Use Oracle ERP to run daily raw material planning reports.
- Place purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Work with quality, production, and warehouse to ensure performance and flexibility.
- Ensure high levels of on-time delivery and contribute to inventory management and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in continuous improvement and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Economics or Engineering.
- Relevant experience in trade compliance or international trade (minimum 2 years).
- Experience in supply chain roles and lean production organizations.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP (Oracle) and MS Office.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Effective in cross-functional teamwork and communication.
