Job Title: Supplier Quality Specialist

Position Overview

Boeing is currently hiring a Supplier Quality Specialist in Italy – Foggia. This role will lead and report audits and assessments of complex suppliers' systems, processes and products, including inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies. Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier facilities and maintains feedback loops.

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier systems, processes and products to determine compliance with Boeing technical and contractual requirements
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results
  • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements of various technologies and commodities
  • Performs conformity inspections
  • Supports regulatory agency audits (FAA)
  • Ensures supplier notifications of quality escapes are processed as required; evaluate supplier Root Cause Analysis and proposed corrective action plans
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work
  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity
  • Monitors quality improvement initiatives at supplier; develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Prior audit and quality assessments experience
  • Working comprehension of the requirements of AS9100 and AS9102
  • Possess knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Ability and the technical skills to lead and perform source inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies.
  • Fluent in English in spoken and written. Italian communication skills are highly desired

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Working knowledge of AS9117 and AS9145
  • Experience developing supplier improvement plans and strategies, providing training, and coaching

Typical Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically a minimum of 5 years or more related work experience, or a Master’s degree and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Other Job related information:

This assignment is in Italy in Foggia, however the candidate may be required to support temporarily or for an extended period of time other Boeing supplier’s sites in southern Italy. The candidate is expected to work onsite for the majority of the time. The position will require travel, including possible extended stays in foreign countries, and as such easy access to transportation network (highways, airports, trains stations).

Important information regarding this requisition: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Italy. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE CURRENT LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IMMEDIATELY IN ITALY. BOEING WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO OBTAIN IMMIGRATION AND LABOUR SPONSORSHIP FOR ANY APPLICANTS. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
