JOB SUMMARY

To be a technical focal point to monitor and work supplier quality issues directly with the manufacturer and communicate status on non-conforming parts/suppliers across all programs. Evaluate supplier performance, determine appropriate Inspection processes and provides guidance to Receiving Inspection function at the site level.

Sunday – Tuesday / Sunday - Wednesday 6AM – 6PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serve as the focal person for commodity related quality and functional issues that stem from components being purchased for manufacturing.
2. Ensure that all production critical supplier issues are resolved in a timely manner, and corrective actions are implemented correctly.
3. Serve as the point of contact for Inspection Plans and Inspection Methods, and provide guidance to Receiving Inspection team.
4. Ensuring ongoing site supplier evaluation is performed. This would be achieved by using site information collected from Receiving Inspection, MRB, Customer Returns, and SCAR database. Information to be shared internally and with the customer as appropriate.
5. Determine IQC inspection plans and levels. Adjust levels, based on 6 month monitoring performance, and impact to improve quality at point of use on the production floor.
6. Monitor and drive PPM issues with the supply base in addition to helping them achieve “Dock to Stock” certified with Jabil.
7. Answer supplier related Jira questions to customer established time targets.
8. Proactively communicate information or issues that may impact the product costs of manufacturability to all affected departments.
9. Conduct CI projects utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools.
10. Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
11. Comply and follow all procedures within the company’s security policy.
12. Part of the MRB process to confirm issues as supplier related as required.
13. Ensure control build process and vendor rework process is tracked appropriately in traceability systems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree required, bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
2. 2-5 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering.
3. Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
