The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor in Venice. This is a permanent, full-time role within Marriott International’s Luxury Collection portfolio, offering an opportunity to maintain the hotel's renowned standards of elegance and service.

You will lead daily housekeeping operations, coordinate closely with other departments,train staff, and ensure safety and quality across guest rooms and public areas.

Competenze

• Legal right to work in Italy (full time)
• Intermediate Italian and English proficiency
• Previous housekeeping supervisory experience in luxury hospitality
• Understanding of luxury room operations and guest service standards

The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Housekeeping Supervisor.

It is a permanent, full-time role (40-hour working week made of 8 hours per 5 days and 2 days off).

What you’ll do

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
• Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets/workboards. Communicate issues to next shift.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures;
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Support team to reach common goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Housekeeper Manager.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and the brand guidelines

What we’re looking for

• You must possess the legal right to work in Italy. Valid work permit for full time role (40 hours/week).
• At least intermediate Italian and English
• Previous housekeeping supervisory experience is a big plus
• Understanding of rooms operations and luxury hospitality
• Ideally, technical knowledge of Opera
• Reliability, Motivation, attention to details
• Strong passion for luxury housekeeping standards and procedures
