JD Sports Fashion - Supervisor

JD Sports Fashion, founded in 1981 with a single store in northwest England, is now one of the leading multi-channel retailers of sports and outdoor fashion in the UK and Europe. The group has over 2,400 stores, catering to various retail segments, and prides itself on offering the latest products from top brands.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the Supervisor, with sales experience, supports the Store Management team by enhancing customer service levels and maintaining company standards.

Responsibilities

1. Sales/Commercial Skills: Conduct opening and closing activities such as merchandise arrangement, team briefings, and displaying new products.
2. Monitor store profitability through KPI tracking.
3. Participate in sales activities, ensuring excellent customer service.
4. Handle customer complaints efficiently and courteously.

Visual Merchandising

Ensure the overall presentation of the store is maintained in collaboration with the Visual Merchandising team, adhering to company standards, stock rotation, and highlighting new products and price changes.

Logistics/Loss Prevention/Cash Handling/Safety

1. Hold and be responsible for store keys, managing merchandise and staff entry/exit.
2. Participate in loss prevention activities, including zoning, delivery checks, and inventory audits.
3. Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, returns, and refunds.
4. Maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and sales/storage areas as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in structured retail stores, preferably in dynamic, multinational environments.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Leadership qualities and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
