About the role:

The Sunset Bar Manager will plan, organize, control, and direct the work of employees in the hotel’s beachfront bar, ensuring guest satisfaction.

What you will do:

  1. Be part of the pre-opening team.
  2. Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors, and assistant managers in the Sunset Bar to meet cultural and core standards, and participate in long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
  3. Be highly visible in operations, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle guest, client, and group concerns or requests.
  4. Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, with expert knowledge of wine and spirits, in an environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for lunch or dinner.
  5. Work closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs to design effective menus and beverage lists, ensuring excellent quality at fair prices, and attend operational meetings for coordination.
  6. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and cash control.
  7. Monitor the physical condition of facilities and equipment, making recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.

What you bring:

  • A college degree, preferably in hotel/restaurant management, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently.
  • Proven leadership skills in a hotel environment.
  • Two to three years of previous experience in a line, supervisory, or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.
  • Knowledge of division operations, Four Seasons standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and food & beverage systems.
  • A flexible schedule, with the ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, day and evening shifts.
