The Position

Join our Innovation Team to explore automated solution preparation for aqueous and organic reagents. Collaborate with engineers on reaction system development, aiming to design a continuous process with potential manufacturing applications. Your work may contribute to process improvements and innovations.

This is a 12-week, fully onsite Summer Program paying $19.00/hr.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and perform chemical experiments to define processes
2. Generate and evaluate potential solutions
3. Prototype automated systems
4. Test prototypes
5. Evaluate effectiveness and feasibility of solutions, providing feedback and recommendations

Requirements

1. Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college, majoring in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3. Ability to generate and execute technical protocols
4. Experience with the engineering design process
5. Strong problem-solving skills
6. Eagerness to learn new techniques
7. Ability to work in a lab setting for extended periods
8. Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required
9. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

1. Completion of coursework in organic chemistry, unit operations, or reaction kinetics
2. Basic understanding of programming and controls

Pay range in Wisconsin: $9,120 per summer.
