Marelli is seeking an experienced EHS Plant Manager for the Sulmona, Italy site. You will own the plant's Environment, Health & Safety strategy, ensure compliance with ISO 14001/45001 and Italian safety law, and lead safer operations.

Responsibilities include defining EHS objectives, deploying action plans, fostering a proactive safety culture, and coordinating incident investigations and risk reduction across manufacturing processes.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering.
• Experience in Environment, Health & Safety roles in industrial or automotive manufacturing.
• Good English knowledge.

About the Position:

We are looking for a EHS Plant Manager to join the Ride Dynamics EHS team, reporting directly to the Sulmona Plant Manager and functionally to the Division EHS Manager.

This position is based at our office in Sulmona (Italy).

As the EHS Plant Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the plant's Environment, Health & Safety strategy, ensuring full compliance with applicable legal requirements, corporate standards, and international management systems. The role provides leadership in preventing occupational injuries, illnesses, and environmental impacts while promoting a strong safety culture and supporting operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities will be:

• Define and deploy the plant EHS strategy aligned with Corporate objectives and sustainability goals.
• Develop annual EHS objectives, targets, and action plans.
• Promote a proactive Safety culture through visible leadership and employee engagement initiatives.
• Lead continuous improvement programs aimed at achieving world‑class EHS performance.
• Integrate EHS principles into operational and manufacturing excellence systems.

Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and ensure timely implementation of new requirements.

Ensure effective implementation of preventive and protective measures.

Coordinate hazard identification and risk reduction initiatives.

Ensure effective investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

Manage environmental aspects including waste, emissions, water, energy, and hazardous substances.

Maintain and continually improve the EHS Management System (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001)

Present EHS performance results to Plant Management and Corporate EHS.

Develop and execute EHS training programs / Ensure mandatory training compliance.

Act as key coordinator during emergency situations

What Qualifications you will bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering
• Previous experience in Environment, Health & Safety roles within industrial or automotive manufacturing environments
• Good English knowledge
