ALMA MATER STUDIORUM - UNIVERSITA' DI BOLOGNA - DIPARTIMENTO DI FILOSOFIA is seeking a research assistant to collaborate on the ERC project UseFool. The role centers on the material dimension of historical knowledge, focusing on natural substances in the premodern Arabo-Islamic tradition.

You will identify substances and processes described in sources and assist in experimental replication, working closely with the research team in Italy.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate on ERC project UseFool focusing on historical substances and their properties.
• Identify and investigate substances, materials and processes described in historical sources.
• Assist in experimental replication of selected procedures and techniques.
• Work with the research team to explore acidity, glass pastes, pigments and alchemical transformations of foodstuffs.
