Job summary

ABB's Electrification Service division seeks a driven candidate pursuing a Master’s degree or recent graduate to join the global strategy and business development team. You'll work on strategy development projects, identify inorganic growth opportunities, and support due diligence, deal sourcing, and partnerships in a fast-paced international environment.

This hands-on role offers exposure to M&A, VC investments, and strategic planning, with LI-Hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear outputs.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; ability and experience in building financial models and presentations from scratch.
• Genuine interest in strategy, M&A and venture capital.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, international team.
• Prior internship or project experience in strategy consulting, investment banking/private equity, corporate development/M&A, or VC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy development via horizon scanning, trend analysis, and opportunity identification; synthesize insights into priorities and recommendations.
• Source and screen inorganic growth opportunities (M&A targets, VC investments, strategic partnerships) and maintain a structured deal pipeline.
• Analyze targets on market position, technology differentiation, financials, and strategic fit; develop profiles, business cases, and investment briefs; support due diligence.
