Job summary

ASSA ABLOY in Sant’Ambrogio di Torino seeks a Strategic Purchaser to define and implement purchasing strategies across its Southern Europe region, reporting to the Regional Purchasing Manager. The role is based in Sant’Ambrogio di Torino and involves leading supplier selection, negotiations and supplier development for key categories.

You will drive resourcing projects with Marketing, R+D, Production, Logistics and Quality, ensuring alignment with group objectives while mitigating supply risks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering and/or master's in Purchasing, Supply Chain or related area.
• At least 3 years of experience in Purchasing within an industrial environment.
• High level of English; other languages valued (French, Portuguese or Italian).
• Strong supplier negotiation, analysis, and management capabilities.
• Able to work in international, dynamic and matrix environments with autonomy and results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and implementation of the purchasing strategy for the assigned categories, ensuring the fulfillment of economic and development objectives.
• Select, develop and manage key suppliers, including negotiating agreements and framework contracts.
• Lead projects of resourcing in collaboration with Marketing, R+D, Production, Logistics and Quality.
• Participate in the development of new products ensuring the optimal selection of suppliers.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, optimizing processes and resolving market, quality or deadline incidents.

Job description

You will be part of the Southern Europe Purchasing team, within a matrix structure covering Portugal, Spain, France and Italy, in coordination with the EMEIA Category Managers. You will report to the Regional Purchasing Manager and the position will be based in Sant’Ambrogio di Torino, Italy.

Salary range: from €38,000 to €42,000, depending on experience.

What you would do as our Strategic Purchaser

As a Strategic Purchaser, you will be responsible for defining and implementing purchasing strategies in your assigned categories, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment with the group's objectives.

You would also be responsible for:

• Lead the definition and implementation of the purchasing strategy for the assigned categories, ensuring the fulfillment of economic and development objectives.
• Select, develop and manage key suppliers, including negotiating agreements and framework contracts.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:
