Strategic Projects Manager

Role Purpose

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide ongoing strategic support to the Country Head Italy and the leadership team. The role also involves independently leading projects across various areas, acting as a liaison between business operations and the full Italian organization. This position is key in facilitating decision-making, streamlining communication, and enhancing the effectiveness of the Country Head's office and strategic projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic support to the Country Head and the Sandoz Italy Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Lead the strategic agenda for key meetings and manage follow-ups.
  • Coordinate the preparation of executive presentations for SLT, BoD, external events, and other bodies.
  • Represent the Country Head at external and internal stakeholder events when needed.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, coordinating activities across departments to achieve strategic goals.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for timely execution.
  • Support the Country Head's office tasks and other ad hoc strategic projects.
  • Understand business needs to support the effectiveness of the Field Force organization.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and third parties for critical business interactions.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience, including at least 3+ years in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.
  • Background in consulting or strategic consulting.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across a global, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to obtain stakeholder buy-in through impactful presentations and public speaking.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian.
  • Strong project management skills; certification in Six Sigma or Lean strategies is a plus.
  • Analytical skills and agility in data-driven decision making.
  • Strategic and solutions-oriented thinking.
  • Attention to quality, compliance, and legal obligations.
  • Agility to re-prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
