Job summary

McBride S.p.A. is seeking an ambitious Procurement Officer to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and components, manage supplier relations, and optimize costs across the site.

You will raise orders, manage supplier assets, and coordinate with central purchasing to keep production requirements met while maintaining stock levels. English proficiency and SAP/MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master degree in applied science (economics, mathematics, etc.) or equivalent by experience in a similar function.
• 1–2 years experience in a material management environment.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Knowledge of other languages is a plus (French, German).
• Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office (especially Excel, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Raise purchase orders (long term) and scheduling agreements (short term) for raw materials/components in the right quantities, with the right supplier, at the right price.
• Manage the source list to ensure use of approved suppliers.
• Follow up orders to ensure stable planning and minimize delays.
• Evaluate suppliers (OTIF and Vendor Rating).
• Inform central purchasing of major issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Coordinate in case of missing components/raw materials.
• Search for alternatives with R&D and central purchasing.
• Maintain call off parameters in SAP (lot sizes, lead times, safety stocks).
• Provide forecasts to suppliers and central purchasing as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and other departments.
