In Italy, they have a network of 4300 PUDOs and 2222 fully automated parcel lockers (accessible 24/7) enabling customers to collect, send and return parcels at their convenience. The aim is to continue scaling the business in a similar rapid trajectory.
Job Overview:
You will be responsible for sourcing goods and services at the best value regarding quality and price. Your primary duty will be meeting financial targets to increase profitability and help grow the business.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies
- Creating and maintaining purchasing policies and ensuring all purchases adhere to it
- Managing supplier relationships, tracking performance, availability, pricing and quality
- Auditing ongoing purchases to identify potential savings and contribute to EBITDA objectives
- Benchmarking current suppliers with better market alternatives
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure customer requests are fulfilled
- Maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships through follow-up and communication on supply chain issues
- Purchasing agreements and contracts that benefit the company
- Proactively resolving issues (material shortages, quality issues, etc.) with vendors
- Creates and tracks purchase orders and contracts
- Ensuring legal compliance of all agreements with suppliers
- Anticipating and planning for inventory needs and timely arrivals
- Reducing dependency on single-source suppliers through contracts and strategic partnerships
- Cooperating with global purchasing actions throughout the organization
- Implementation and management of digital compliance tools
Key Skills:
- Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent networking and time management skills
- Knowledge of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis and negotiation
- Agile worker who can adapt to shifting business needs in a fast-growing environment
- Comfortable managing and reporting on multiple projects concurrently
- Familiarity with ERP systems and experience in system implementation is highly desirable
- Ability to concisely communicate escalations, requirements and issues to suppliers, peers, management and customers with clarity
- Keeps an entrepreneurial mindset, deep curiosity, and a passion for learning & growth
- Demonstrates self-efficacy and ability to take initiative in problem-solving
- Strong diplomatic, collaboration and negotiations skills
- Fluent English, French is a plus
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Degree in Business Administration and Management or similar preferred
