Job summary

Rochester Executive is assisting an international group in Transport Equipment Manufacturing, headquartered in Northern Italy, to appoint a Group CFO to drive finance as a strategic partner and lead M&A activities.

The role reports to the CEO, leading a multi-functional finance team and focusing on controlling, accounting, treasury and tax while delivering strategic insights to stakeholders and enabling growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of regional CFO / Senior Finance Director experience in international industrial companies.
• M&A experience is a must.
• Able to drive execution and support growth while reshaping finance in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to assess market opportunities and risks and take decisions rooted on solid arguments.
• Solid 360 finance knowledge: accounting, consolidation, controlling/FP&A, treasury, tax and M&A.
• Strong business analytics and the ability to influence CEO and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish trust with stakeholders and executives and forge an effective business partnership.
• Take leadership of all finance sub-functions and set up a new Strategic Finance function.
• Controlling: implement BI tools, long-term planning, budgeting and forecasting for all group companies.
• Accounting & statutory: deliver reporting, financial statements, and statutory/tax reports; consolidation if any.
• Treasury: cash planning, forecasting, inflation and FX management.
• Lead a matrix organization and develop the finance team.
• Identify and manage M&A opportunities and contribute to transaction analysis and negotiations.
• Provide insights on strategic topics and lead efficiency and working capital projects.
