Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, risk management, and financial system modernization as the organization scales in service of its mission.

The CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audits, and compliance, while building a high-performing finance team and partnering with leadership, the Board, and external partners to advance BRAFB’s impact and sustainability.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA required.
• Extensive senior-level financial management experience in complex, multi-revenue organizations.
• Experience with investments, reserves, government grants, audits, and compliance.
• Strong systems orientation with experience implementing or modernizing financial systems.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams through growth and change.

Mansioni

• Provide strategic financial leadership across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, analysis and reporting.
• Translate complex financial data into clear insights to support decision-making and growth.
• Oversee annual operating and capital budgeting, long-range forecasts, and analytics to monitor trends and risks.
• Guide financial planning to support strategic priorities and manage investments and reserves.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, audits, and compliance with regulations and government grants.
