Job summary

ABB is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead material purchases according to technical specs, price, and delivery terms. You will ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies and support supplier identification with the category team.

The role emphasizes PO initiation, supplier performance, and bid evaluation to optimize value in a hybrid work environment. Ideal candidates have a bachelor degree in Engineering or Economy, experience in operations a plus, and strong English/Italian

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Economy is required.
• Experience in Operations is a plus.
• English and Italian communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Initiate purchase orders in the system and confirm delivery with suppliers.
• Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms.
• Manage assigned suppliers to achieve KPIs.
• Propose frame agreements and obtain leadership approval.
• Verify supplier capacity and source new suppliers.
• Analyze bids to determine the best value.
