Responsibilities / Tasks
Sourcing
- Responsible for tactical sourcing activities related to the supported project, with thresholds agreed upon with the head of procurement and/or category managers.
- Can be responsible for low-spend contracting with vendors, limited to general T&C or simplified agreements within the scope of the category strategy, based on the entity setup.
- Steers the project in adherence with applicable category strategies & the use of preferred suppliers.
Purchase Requisition, Purchasing & Order processing
- Processes purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and follows up on order confirmations (including expediting if needed).
- Clarifies issues with requestors and suppliers.
- Provides feedback to the head of procurement when requisitions go outside of suitable framework agreements.
- Acts as the first point of contact with vendors for daily operations.
Invoice Processing & Manage Master Data
- Supports solving invoice mismatches that cannot be processed by Finance / Accenture, based on the entity setup.
- Maintains local raw material or vendor master data, based on the entity setup.
Project-related interactions
- Acts as the first procurement point of contact for project stakeholders in project management, engineering, project planning, controlling, and other relevant roles.
- Ensures that qualitative and quantitative inputs from the project team are captured at different project stages.
- Requests sourcing support for relevant scope of supply from strategic buyers and/or category managers (both direct and indirect).
- Involved early in project sales phase discussions and recurrently in later phases.
- Shares progress information from the procurement perspective (weekly project calls, monthly steerCo, stage gate reviews).
- Partners with logistics representatives to track risks, costs, and lead times related to transport, import/export, and receipt of goods.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement.
- ERP (SAP) / procurement key user experience or knowledge.
- Knowledge of international contract management.
- Cultural awareness and intercultural sensitivity.
- Contract management experience is essential.
- Experience with implementing corporate procurement processes.
- Work experience in complex organizations.
- Negotiation skills.
- Cost analysis and management capabilities.
- Project management skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Financial and business acumen.
