Startup Solution Architect, AWS Startups

AWS makes cloud computing accessible for startups by giving founders access to the same technology that powers the world’s largest companies. We support hundreds of thousands of startups and work with founders at every stage of growth. This role focuses on helping early-stage startups make pragmatic architectural decisions, build enduring relationships, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.

As a member of the AWS Startups team, you will work directly with customers to help them leverage AWS technology at scale. You’ll balance time with customers and time to learn new technologies, keeping skills fresh across more than 200 services. You’ll advocate with product teams to ensure we build the right products and features, and you’ll share knowledge with the broader community through technical content and events.

Responsibilities

• Help a diverse range of startups adopt the right architecture at each lifecycle stage
• Support startups in architecting scalable, reliable, and secure solutions
• Assist adoption of a broad range of AWS services to deliver business value and accelerate growth
• Support the evolution and roadmap of AWS platform and services by connecting engineering teams with customer feedback
• Establish and build technical relationships within the startup ecosystem (accelerators, incubators, VCs)
• Develop startup-specific technical content (blog posts, sample code, solutions) to help customers solve problems and reduce time-to-market

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure
• 4+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
• Experience working directly in customer implementations
